Simply Wonderful | Copper Canyon

This week Creative Memories released a new collection - "Copper Canyon 2".

If this collection sounds familiar to you, then you would be correct. We saw the first run of the range release some time ago. Whilst this new collection is similar in tone and theme, it does hold many brand new design features. Whilst I wait excitedly for it to arrive, I couldn't resist creating with leftovers of the original collection I had stored away.

Believe it or not, this layout took me 15 minutes to create......and I want you to create it too, which is why I have a FREE sketch for you. You can download and save or print your sketch by clicking the button below!

The best part about creating a layout using a sketch is you can follow it exactly OR use the sketch as a launch pad for your very own creativity. You will notice from my completed layout that I added a few extra details such as the arrow through the centre. You can recreate this easily using the Creative Memories Square Punch. Punch some squares and cut them in half diagonally. Use one of the halves as your arrow head. For the tails, carefully remove a triangle with your scissors from each triangular half.

Once my arrow was in place I used my black journal pen to add some sketch lines to the edges of it. This helps make the arrow 'pop' on the page whilst giving it extra detail.

I had some of the large frames left over as well from the original collection and the one I chose was perfect for my 4" x 6" main photo.

I decided not to mat my smaller photos like the sketch offers. I felt there was already a lot going on with my layout so I adhered them bare and trimmed to 5" x 3.5" each.

Once I had added my final embellishments, I loved how this layout came together. My downloadable sketches each month can be used with ANY collection....To show you, I originally created a layout using the same sketch from the 'Legacy Of Love' collection.
