Happy Memories | Croptoberfest 2026
The Croptoberfest 2026 products from Creative Memories are divine! I've been having a lot of fun creating some pretty layouts and I thought I would share one that I have been working on. It features a cute woodlands owl that is super sweet and super easy to create. I originally created an Owl design back in 2013, but this little one is slightly different.

If you are scrapping along at home with me, here are the products and tools I used:
First, you will need to prepare your background. Cut a sheet of Kraft cardstock to measure 10" x 10" and adhere centred over a sheet of designer paper. (TIP: You can remove the centre of both these layers to conserve supply.)
Cut a sheet of Bright White cardstock to measure 9.5" x 9.5" and adhere as your top layer.
Cut one Star Trail border from designer paper using the die cutting machine and adhere at the bottom of the layout. Set aside your background for now.

Now it's time to cut the pieces for your owl. You will need the Creative Memories CCS circle and oval templates as well as your 3 cutting blades.
For the Owls body/head, from the same designer paper-
Cut 1 circle with the large circle template & red blade on the inside track.
Cut 1 oval with the second largest oval template & red blade on the inside track.
Cut 1 oval with the second largest oval template & green blade on the inside track.
Cut 1 circle with the smallest circle template & blue blade on the inside track
From a different designer paper:
Cut 1 circle with the medium circle template & red blade on the inside track. This will be for the belly.
From yet another different designer paper-
Cut 3 circles with the medium circle template & blue blade on the inside track. This will be for the eyes.
From Bright White cardstock-
Cut 2 circles with the smallest circle template & green blade on the inside track.
From Black cardstock-
Cut 2 circles with the smallest circle template & blue blade on the inside track.
From Caramel cardstock-
Cut 1 circle with the smallest circle & blue blade on the inside track.
I have labelled all pieces below for easy reference for assembly.

ASSEMBLY: (**OPTIONAL- Add some Hot Fudge ink to all of the edges of the owls pieces first.) Adhere piece 5 to the bottom of piece 1. Adhere piece 2 across the top of piece 1 as the head. (See image 1 below)
Adhere two of the piece 6 circles as eyes to piece 2. Cut the remaining piece 6 circle in half and tuck one half behind each eye circle. (See image 2 below)
Adhere pieces 7, followed by pieces 8 to the eyes as well.
Cut piece 9 into quarters. Adhere one quarter as a beak. (See image 3 below)
Cut piece 3 in half length ways. Adhere one half either side of the body as wings.
Cut piece 4 in half and adhere both pieces as feet.

Ta-dah! You've just created the cutest little owl. I adhered mine over the Star Trail border using foam squares for dimension, along with some layered Floral Essential Embellishments.

All you need to do then is add your beautiful photos and your layout is complete!
I really hope you give this owl a try for yourselves.
Happy scrapping!
Kylie.
