Question of the day- Do you scrap yourself as a crafter/scrapbooker? I'll be honest, I haven't. Thanks to the Craft Happy collection from Creative Memories, it inspired me to create a layout for myself.
Fun fact - I like taking photos, but rarely take any of myself. So for me, I was a little uncomfortable creating this layout and even more so to be sharing it online..... However, your scrapbooking story needs to be documented, so it's time to go scrap yourself.

I may of mentioned before that the 'Craft Happy' collection has some very 'busy' patterned papers and very bright. That's why I will usually opt for a white background for my base page. I trimmed a 12" x 1" strip of designer paper for the top edge and a 12" x 2" strip for the bottom edge.
The layered hearts were created in my Silhouette Studio software. I took a basic heart shape and used the offset feature several times to create the sizes I was happy with. A distress tool was used lightly on all the edges before sticking them together.

I dug out my 12-inch decorative trimmer for those fun wavy strips. (*Can we all just have a minutes silence in mourning for the fact that Creative Memories discontinued this tool? I hang onto the hope that maybe there is a new one coming out in the future?) I cut a few strips just a few millimetres wide from the green designer paper, then layered them on my background. The layered hearts were then scattered over them and I filled the spaces with leaves punched with my *Five-Leaf punch. (*Another goodie that's gone-y).

I found a fun little quote via Pinterest that I thought was perfect for this layout. I typed it out and cut it up into strips to sit below my photos.
To complete my layout, you guessed it.... I went with a big title thanks to the ABC embellishments.

This layout is busy, it's got lots of colour and a big title. All the things that bring me joy to create with and makes me happy.
Sweetpea's.....It's time to go scrap yourselves. Tell your story, tell your 'why'....Why you love to document and memory keep. I love to see your layouts so give me a tag: @paper_sweetpea.
Hugs,
Kylie xo
