The new 'Legacy Of Love' collection from Creative Memories has me a little smitten. It has a modern 'vintage' or 'heritage' theme and is perfect for documenting a variety of memories.
For this layout I actually recreated a design I made back in 2022. I love paper wreaths and this one has a layered 'ring' effect.

I trimmed a sheet of designer paper down to 11.5" x 11.5" and adhered it to a sheet of black cardstock. For my 'rings' I used the circle cutter. They were cut from Hot Fudge cardstock using the following measurements: 10.6, 10.2, 9.8, 9.4 and 9.0. It can be tricky sticking these into place, but I spaced them to where I thought they looked best, then carefully lifted them here and there and stuck them down with repositionable tape. This allowed me to rub away any excess adhesive once they were in place.

Let's chat about these layered flowers. They're my most favourite item to create! Yes, I did use a cut file and my Silhouette but you could also make your own flowers without a cut file using my easy fringed technique I used in this video which you can see HERE.
I searched 'layered flower' in the Silhouette Design Store and this design was one of the first to appear. I layered them together and added a sparkly bling centre from my stash.

Two 3" x 4" photos were added at the base of my wreath and I then added my clusters of flowers. Going through my stash I found some 'Copper Shimmer' paper which was the perfect tone for the leaves I punched with my five-leaf punch. (It photographed looking a little orangey, but in real life it is perfect!) I also added in a few black cardstock leaves as well for balance.

To complete the layout, I added in a few stickers and used the new Geometric Gem Chains BMC for the corner strips. (This BMC sold out so fast and I really do hope it makes a comeback soon!)
This collection is a really different colour palette to what I would normally create with but I really, really love it and I know you will do too. Before I go, here's a little look at the original layout I created back in 2022 that provided me with the inspiration for today's design.

Until next time,
Kylie. xo
